Red Riding Hood...unplugged
Little Red Riding Hood…unplugged Mayor Mike Ley has received a call from the Good Fairy, played by Wynter Lower, asking him if the town of Auburn would host her, T.B. Director (Keegan Dobson), the famous actress Greta Starr (Katie Smith), and the Big Bad Wolf (Gavin Dobson) in an upcoming remake of one of her fairy tales. The Mayor turns this project over to Excelsior Arts Academy who welcomes them and auditions area residents to play a role in the stage production of Little Red Riding Hood. Through this hilarious parody, written and directed by Mary Kay Clark, the Big Bad Wolf wants to prove that he is actually not bad. Greta Starr demonstrates that she is more high maintenance than a star. The audience will see a production in rehearsal as many characters come together to try their best to remake this classic tale of Little Red Riding Hood. This chaotic and fun production of Little Red Riding Hood…unplugged features a live stage performance of 38 local young people (ages 8-23) coupled with original video. The cast joined forces to write and produce two commercials that are a part of the play. Little Red Riding Hood…unplugged runs Thursday through Saturday, March 12-14.
