AUBURN, IN – Mark Millett, President and Chief Executive Officer of Steel Dynamics, Inc. has been elected to the Board of Managers of Auburn, Indiana–based Metal Technologies (MTI), effective September 20, 2018.

MTI Chairman Rick James made the announcement following the company’s quarterly meeting.

“We are very fortunate to have Mark Millett and his considerable business and technical savvy to help guide our company,” said James. “This is an exciting period of growth for MTI. Mark brings a wealth of knowledge in strategic planning and industry expertise that will help us advance our leadership position in the metal casting industry,” James continued.

Millett said he is “excited about joining MTI’s Board. It is a very successful Northeast Indianabased company focused on providing industry-leading solutions to its customers and opportunities for all of its stakeholders.”

Millett is a director and co-founder of Steel Dynamics and was named its President and CEO in 2012. Under his leadership the company has grown to be the 4th largest U.S. steel producer and is one of the largest metal recyclers, with facilities located throughout the United States and Mexico.
