The Future of Work
What does your company need to know or do to stay relevant in attracting talent? Guest speaker Rick Farrant from Northeast Indiana Works joins us to discuss the changes we've seen in recent years in employees' expectations of employers. This engaging conversation will look at what future changes may look like and how you can best prepare your company.
Rick Farrant is the director of communications for Northeast Indiana Works, the region’s nonprofit workforce development organization that oversees 11 WorkOne Northeast career centers and two youth enrichment programs, leads talent pipeline development and training initiatives, and provides labor market information. In addition to overseeing the organization’s internal and external communications, he leads Northeast Indiana Works’ Education Workforce Innovation Network (EWIN), the Northeast Indiana Healthcare Consortium, and is currently developing in collaboration with community partners two grant-funded regional career awareness campaigns. Farrant is a published author and former longtime journalist. He serves on a number of education advisory committees, is a board member of Easterseals Arc of Northeast Indiana, and is chair of the Northeast Indiana Make-A-Wish Council. He is currently working on a book about an Ashley teenager who has been battling cancer.
About HR Roundtable
HR Roundtable is a quarterly meeting of human resource professionals, business owners, or other professionals who perform the human resource duties in their company. Each session covers a different topic featuring a guest speaker who brings an expert opinion and facilitates engaging conversation. This is a confidential space for HR professionals to share with their peers and get feedback on challenges they may be facing. We encourage attendees to share ideas and resources with the group.
